Ibinahagi ng actress-politician na si Aiko Melendez na nagpositibo siya ilang araw matapos makauwi mula sa bakasyon nila ng kanyang nobyo na si Zambales 1st District Rep. Jay Khonghun.
Subalit, hindi good news ang dala ng positive test ni Aiko Melendez dahil nagpositibo siya sa covid-19.
Sa kanyang social media post, malungkot na ibinahagi ni Aiko ang kanyang health condition matapos magpatingin sa doktor nang sumama ang kanyang pakiramdam ilang araw nang makauwi sa bansa.
“Life these past few days…. 2nd day of antibiotics praying that tom i will be better. No voice coughing non stop… colds / fever/ sore throat and my back which i will see a doctor soon… Thank you for all your messages. I appreciate them all,” naunang post ni Aiko bago pa man komunsulta sa doctor.
Kasunod nito, ibinahagi na ni Aiko Melendez ang resulta ng kanyang antigen test at ipinahayag na nagpositibo siya sa Covid19.
“Good AM! Apologies to everyone, especially to my constituents in District 5 QC, for I won’t be able to attend to invitations and activities for the next few days. I have just tested positive for COVID today, Thursday, May 11, 2023 and is currently self-quarantining at home."
Ipinahayag din ni Aiko na kailangan niyang tapusin ang kanyang quarantine period at maging negative bago balikan ang kanyang trabaho para na rin sa kaligtasan ng lahat.
“It would be best for me to finish the quarantine period and until I test negative again to make sure that everyone will be safe and will be spared from the virus,” sabi ni Aiko.
Nagbigay din ng paalala at payo si Aiko Melendez sa lahat nang mga mamamayan sa bansa na patuloy pa ring mag-ingat dahil hindi pa rin tuluyang nawawala ang banta ng Covid19.
“Please, everyone, take care of yourselves too. Make sure to wear your masks and to drink vitamins at all times. COVID is still out there.
“We should not risk our health. I encourage everyone to continue to prevent the spread of the virus.
“Thank you and I will see you all when I get better!”
Agad namang bumuhos ang mga mensahe ng pagpapagaling at pag-aalala mula sa mga fans at kaibigan ni Aiko Melendez.

Samantala, isa sa itinuturong dahilan ng pagkakasakit ni Aiko ay ang labis na pagod dahil sa pamamasyal nila ng boyfriend sa Europe. Bumaba umano ang immune system nito kaya madaling nadapuan ng virus.
