Matatandaan na ang Ms. Planet International sana ang kauna-unahang international pageant na sasalihan ni Herlene Budol subalit dahil sa hindi inaasahang insidente sa Uganda umatras siya sa nasabing patimpalak.
Samantala sa katatapos lamang na Miss Grand Philippines, si Herlene ang kinoronahan bilang Miss Philippines Tourism, magaganap sana ang nasabing pageant sa darating na November sa London.
Nauna nang ipinangako ni Herlene na gagalingan niya ang kanyang pagsali sa Miss Tourism dahil sinayang umano siya ni Angkol sa Ms. Grand.
Samantala, may posibilidad na hindi na naman matutuloy si Herlene sa kanyang first ever international pageant dahil inilabas ng Hiyas ng Pilipinas ang franchise certificates nila.
Makikita naman sa post ng Hiyas ng Pilipinas ang Notice to Cease and Desist.
"We would like to inform the parties concerned that all contracts, agreements, covenants, and memorandums made prior to February 18, 2023, including franchise arrangements, are considered null and void. This includes any franchises that have utilized the tradenames, logos, and music of Hiyas ng Pilipinas and its affiliates including but not limited to Miss Tourism World Philippines, Miss Omninational Philippines, and Miss Summit International Philippines."
Nauna nang iginiit ng Hiyas Pilipinas sa kanilang post na ang nanalo sa kanilang pageant ang opisyal na magiging representative ng bansa sa Miss Tourism World pagent na gaganapin sa November.
"We hereby present the authentic franchise grants and agreements for the three international titles to be conferred during this year's Hiyas ng Pilipinas 2023, ensuring their lawful status.
"👑Miss Tourism World 2023: Our this year’s winner shall serve as the official representative of the Philippines in the month of November 2023.
"👑 Miss Omninational 2023: Our winner shall act as the Philippines' representative in Bali, Indonesia in November 2023.
"👑 Miss Summit International 2023: The winner shall compete in Florida, USA in September 2024 representing the Philippines. It is noteworthy that our previous year's winner, AZ Martinez, shall assume the role of the Philippines' representative for this year.
"Consequently, it is established beyond doubt that all three international titles exclusively and lawfully belong to Hiyas ng Pilipinas."
